The Passionate Professional.

Welcome to my site, I’m Ashley, but you can also call me Tonia (toe-knee-ah).

Here is my story:

I’m a photographer based in Toronto, Canada, and the founder of Tonia Vision Studios. My journey started in 2014 when portrait photography became my creative outlet. Over time, I realized my passion for professional imagery. I honed my skills at Humber College’s Creative Photography Program in 2016, where I grew my deep love for lighting, creative planning, retouching and high-quality visuals.

For me, photography isn’t just about taking pictures— sure that’s what we all say, but I truly believe it’s about creating meaningful, high-quality imagery that leaves a lasting impact. I believe in professionalism, individuality, and integrity, and I bring these values into every project I take on. Whether it’s a beauty or fashion commercial campaign, editorial, my goal is always to create striking, polished visuals that stand the test of time.

In 2017, I unexpectedly lost my father—one of my biggest supporters—which made my journey even more personal as being his next of kin threw me into unexpected responsibilities and huge life lessons. I missed his last call doing what I love while losing the person that I love. Through it all, with the loving support of my mother, my wonderful Husband, my faith, family and friends, I pushed through, returned to college and graduated in 2020, determined to honour the path I started.

Since then, I’ve worked with industry legends like Lindsay Adler, Miguel Jacob, and Raph Nogal gaining valuable experience and insight. I also work closely with the Profoto Light Shaping Company, further expanding my expertise in light shaping and commercial photography. I am living proof that it is never too late to restart and keep striving. In 2025, to further my ability to create impactful visuals, I was awarded a scholarship to CMU College, where I am learning fundamental skills in hair, fashion/beauty makeup, TV, Film, and theatre makeup. This training allows me to deepen my understanding of beauty and artistry, enhancing my work as a photographer and creative director.
